Leigh Caudle Whitaker is a highly regarded Dallas family law attorney, Dallas probate attorney, and Dallas trademark attorney with broad experience in family law, probate litigation, intellectual property prosecution, business disputes, and civil litigation. As a Partner at Wilson Legal Group P.C. (d/b/a Wilson Whitaker Rynell) in Dallas, Texas, Ms. Whitaker serves clients throughout Texas, including the Houston, Austin, DFW Metroplex - Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Richardson, Fort Worth and surrounding areas. She combines meticulous legal preparation with a compassionate, results-driven approach to help individuals and businesses resolve complex and emotionally charged matters.


Since joining the firm in 2017 and advancing to Partner in 2022, Ms. Whitaker drafts pleadings, discovery, memoranda, and other court documents in both state and federal courts. She actively represents clients at mediations, depositions, and hearings across family, probate, intellectual property, business, and general civil litigation. She also manages the firm’s trademark prosecution practice, guiding clients through trademark registrations, portfolio management, and enforcement to protect their brands and innovations. Her prior experience includes serving as an Associate Attorney handling personal injury litigation at Kastl Law, P.C. in Dallas and as a Law Clerk at The Waldrop Law Firm in Houston, where she focused on family, probate, and civil litigation—building a well-rounded foundation in trial preparation, client advocacy, and strategic case management.


Recognized for her rising excellence in the legal field, Ms. Whitaker was selected to the Texas Rising Stars list in both 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. She is  admitted to practice before all Texas state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas. She earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law (Houston) in 2015, where she made the Dean’s Honor List and participated in the Leroy Jeffers Memorial Moot Court Competition. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with a minor in Communication – Journalism) from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2012.


Ms. Whitaker is an active member of the Texas Bar College, the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, and the State Bar of Texas Intellectual Property Law Section.
